Q: What inspired you to start your business?
JULIA: I’ve always had a passion for creativity and helping others succeed, which even reflects in my role as a high school cheer coach. I saw so many business owners with amazing ideas who were struggling to get their message out there. At the time, I was already doing similar work at another job and realized how much I loved it, but I also felt like my creativity was contained. That experience helped me realize the bigger impact I could make by starting my own business: helping more people, taking on projects I’m truly passionate about, and building something that fully reflects my values.
-
Q: What do you offer?
JULIA: Mielke Media is my little creative hub for all things digital marketing! I get to design websites, create branding that truly pops, manage social media, build marketing strategies, and even capture photos that bring it all together. My goal is to give businesses tools that not only look amazing but actually work - so their brand feels polished, cohesive, and ready to grow.
-
Q: What is your favorite thing about your business?
JULIA: I love the variety of each project I do! I get to work with so many different businesses and bring their visions to life. But mostly, I love the relationships I’ve built. Watching my clients gain confidence in their brand and seeing the real results of our work together is so rewarding.
-
Q: What keeps you motivated every day?
JULIA: My faith is a big part of my motivation. It keeps me grounded and gives me a greater purpose for the work I do. Beyond that, knowing that I’m helping other business owners succeed and that I get to use my creativity daily keeps me energized and inspired.
-
Q: Why did you want photos?
JULIA: I wanted photos that truly represented me and my brand. Since so much of my work is personal and client-facing, it’s important to have images that are not only professional but also authentic. The photos Erin took will help me show up with confidence online and give people a sense of who I am before we even meet.
-
Q: What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs?
JULIA: Don’t be afraid to start small and imperfect. Always be willing to learn and absorb new information! Consistency and authenticity will get you farther than chasing every trend. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and push you to be better, and remember that your business is not just about what you do - it’s about the impact you create for others.
