How sessions work
I am a full service portrait photographer. That means I am here to help you through every step of the process; starting before your session day ever arrives, all the way through ordering products you will love. This makes your portrait experience stress-free and more enjoyable.
Before your session date, we will discuss the goals of your portrait session — who you want to be photographed with, where you want to be photographed, what you want to do with your finished portraits, etc. You will receive a session preparation guide that covers what to wear, how to prepare for your upcoming session, what to expect at your session, as well as a checklist to ensure you do not forget anything. If desired, we can have a consultation in person or over the phone to discuss all of the details, and we can even set up a wardrobe consultation where I will help you pick out the outfits to bring to your session.
The day of your session has arrived, and you are thoroughly prepared. You have brought multiple outfits with you so we can can capture a variety of looks for your portraits. You might be a little nervous about stepping in front of the camera, but I assure you once the session is over, you will have had a wonderful time. I will put you at ease and guide you through different poses and expressions to make sure you look your best in your portraits. You will go to bed that night excited and thankful that you decided to step in front of the camera.
Now it’s time to see your finished portraits! Prepare yourself for the excitement you will feel as you see your portraits for the first time. This is where I will help you go through all of your finished portraits and choose the ones you cannot live without. We will discuss how many of your portraits you want in your album or hanging on your walls. I will take pictures of the walls you want to hang your portraits on and show you exactly what different sized wall art pieces will look like on your walls. This way you know will are purchasing the perfect size for your walls, and you will love looking at your portraits on display everyday.
