Meet Radar. We adopted Radar a little over 3 years ago. When we initially adopted him, we were told he was an Australian Shepherd mix. At 23 lbs he was on the small side for a typical Aussie, and we just thought he was mixed with something small. He never acted much like an Aussie though; he never tried to herd our daughter or any balls, so we started questioning his heritage. One day I decided to buy a DNA test for him to find what he was made of. After anxiously awaiting the results, we found out he was 50% Chihuahua, 13% Boston Terrier, and 37% unknown mixture. Our minds were blown, although now we realize it explains a lot about his personality and his occasional Chihuahua bug eyes. Because he is large for a Chihuahua, we like to call him our Texas-sized Chihuahua. You know, since everything is bigger in Texas!
I love that I have beautiful portraits to document his years with me.
You can check out this short behind the scenes video of Radar’s photo shoot. He is so good about modeling for me, as he gets lots of treats during his photo shoots!
I would love to hear more about your pets! Tell me about any quirky habits they have, or any surprises that came up in your doggy DNA tests!
