A fantasy photoshoot is where you dreams come to life! Or maybe your nightmares, but in a good way! Less traditional portraits can be a fun way to express your personality and “live” in a world that’s not your own or become one of your favorite characters or an original character that you have created. I want to help you step outside of the box and create images that will rock your world and make everyone say, “WOW!” when they see them!
Your fantasy portraits are yours, so you get to decide what kind you want! Do you want more traditional portraits taken but in an amazing costume? Or do you want to tell a story with your portraits?
Maybe your idea starts with a bad ass outfit or costume that you own or have seen. Or maybe it starts with a location that you love that you think would be awesome for some out of this world portraits. Where ever your idea started, I am here to help you develop it and create images you will love.
Perhaps you do not have any specific ideas of your own, but you know you want portraits that are awesome and different. That’s completely okay! That’s what I’m here for. We will sit down, talk, and I will learn the things that you love and help you come up with some ideas.
And your idea doesn’t have to be all kittens and butterflies. If you love Halloween and macabre things, we can do something creepy for your fantasy portraits. I am totally game for that!
After we have your concept figured out, then we get down to the details. If you do not already own the outfit you want to wear in your fantasy shoot, I will find or make the outfit for your shoot. We will put together small details that will really pull the entire concept together. Sometimes that will include building sets with props or even miniature scenes that I will place you in during editing. You can check out the stuff I built for the Goat in a Boat portrait and the Heroes of the Storm images to give you a small idea of what can be done with set building. Everything is brought into a cohesive image with editing, and then it is printed out for you to enjoy!
I would love to hear your thoughts on a fantasy photoshoot. What ideas do you have or outfits would you love to wear? Tell me in the comments!
