My mom came up to visit us this past weekend, and we wanted to go check out some cool places in the area. One of the places we went to see was Paradise Springs. It has a very short trail to walk, only 1/2 mile, but it is a gorgeous 1/2 mile walk.
Music from Paradise Creek
As you start walking the trail, one of the first things you notice is the bubbling melody coming from Paradise Creek. I knew from the moment I heard that calming sound I was going to thoroughly enjoy this walk. I was not disappointed. Walking this trail was such a serene experience.
Lush and Beautiful
As you are walking the trail, you get to soak in the beauty of the abundant vegetation and the songs of the birds and wind in the trees. I love that Paradise Springs is not close to any noticeably busy roads. It really allows you to clear your mind and enjoy
It’s truly wondrous seeing what’s left of old buildings at the spring. There are some stone steps left over from a bottling plant that was closed in the 1960s. Then there is the spring house. It was originally built in the 1930s. While the roof is no longer there, the walls are still standing and it’s still a sight to behold.
Seeing the trout pond at Paradise Springs was quite surreal. The green from the trees surrounding it and the fact that the water is crystal clear creates a breath-taking scene. It was rather mesmerizing being able to see everything on the bottom of the pond so clearly.
I would definitely recommend going to Paradise Springs to soak in the beauty for yourself. It may be a short walk, but I promise you will not be disappointed!
I am trying to get outside and see more interesting things in Wisconsin. If you have any places you love to go, please tell me in the comments so I can add them to my list!
